Society of the Old West

From early westward expansion through the early 20th Century.

Well, it is a done deal.  The Missouri place sold to the first looker, at our price.  We have purchased an rv to begin the next phase of our lives in New Mexico.  The Missouri (misery) weather is literally killing me.  So, then, we return to where our hearts are and that life is possible without the misery.  The whole lifestyle here is just wrong.   We did what we were told, but do not fit the mold.

Adios, misery.

Glad you made it Milt!  I know you'll like the weather better and seeing those spectacular sunrises and sunsets!  And the fragrance of the desert...

That's welcome news Dirtrider. Give you a heads up; as you move West beware, Col. James H. Carleton is leading elements of the California Volunteers towards the Rio Grande to stop any Rebel Infiltrators intent upon invading the the New Mexico Territory. Heard tell there might be some action up towards Val Verde way. Plus reports are Apache are in the area with some Comanche east of your position. Please telegraph at earliest possible moment your location and conditions. Watch your Top Knot Amigo.
